Tuckpointing

Tuckpointing, also known as brick pointing or repointing, is a technique used to fix or enhance the mortar joints between bricks or stones on a building's exterior. It involves applying a thin layer of lime putty or fine lime mortar to create a neat finish. Apart from improving the appearance of the building, tuckpointing serves a practical purpose by preventing moisture from seeping in. An experienced mason is necessary to perform this task properly, as it helps avoid future moisture-related issues and damage to walls and chimneys.
